Jardins d'Upper Barracca. Ces beaux jardins sont situés à l'entrée de La Valette. On a un très beau point de vue sur les 3 cités et le port. 2 fois par jour des tirs de canons sont réalisés à 12h et 16h, être dans les jardins au moins 15 minutes avant, très prisé des touristes. Valetta is on a hill so you need the elevator to Upper Barrakka Gardens. Turn right as you exit the port, walk along the waterfront . Before the road runs under the Archway, cross road and elevator entrance is there – 1 Euro to top, includes return. However, rather than approaching it from the centre of Valletta, the simplest is to enter the city via the main gate, walk straight down Republic street about 100m before turning right (Triq id Nofsinhar), past Piazza Jean de Valette and taking Castille street (off Castille Place) to arrive at the Upper Barrakka gardens (5-10 minutes from the Gate). The Upper Barrakka Gardens is a small but very beautiful park in Valletta. It offers a great view on the "Three Cities", the Grand Harbor, etc. Furthermore you can watch the firing of the "Saluting Batteries" from there. From our point of view definitely a must-see in Valletta.
