Regional Orchestra. The Central Regional Orchestra (CRO) is a 2-day, intensive junior orchestra for 7th, 8th, and 9th grade students from Chesterfield, Richmond, Henrico, Hanover, and area private schools. This is your opportunity to play music with other students from around the region and make new friends! Admission to one of two orchestras ... These are highly motivated musicians dedicated to their instruments and their performances and auditions frequently earn them places in Honor Bands at the District and Regional level as well as top places in the All-State Virginia Honors Band and Senior Regional Orchestra.Chamber Orchestra members are required to participate in more performances than in the other groups. The pieces are longer and more challenging. Members may be required to play in the pit orchestra for the musical in the spring. Students in Chamber Orchestra are required to audition for Senior Regional Orchestra in September (fee $5.00).SRO (Senior Regional Orchestra) The event begins Thursday evening.
