I got something that was defective and Mercari auto-accepted the return without even making the seller approve it. Then they refunded me as soon as I dropped off the package at the post office. Very clearly a scam and I explained why to Mercari support, but they don’t even acknowledge my research. Same as someone else mentioned, seller shipped a 1lb package for an item that should weigh 4lbs, shipped the package to an address in my zip code but not mine. too-good-to-be-true pricing and a seller with no rating.
