Duramax ticking noise

I have a ticking sound in my Duramax that is getting louder and louder. It is reminiscent of a bad lifter and gets louder under load. Posting a video I found of another guys truck that does the same. I’ve been told 3 different things, EGR valve cycle, throttle plates adjusting, and turbo waste gate cycling. I think it sounds like a lifter ticking. Possibly a lifter loosened up a little after it has been running. A friend of mine disagrees. He says it is injectors ticking because they are bad. The noise sounds like its from the passenger side so that makes me think those two are the culprit.
